ถึงแม้ว่า iPhone 3GS จะขายดี (ยอดขายเกิน 1 ล้านเครื่องแล้ว) แต่ก็เริ่มมีเสียงบ่นจากผู้ใช้ว่าแบตอยู่ได้ไม่ถึงวันดี ต้องหาที่ชาร์จเพื่อให้ครบวันไปได้ ส่วนทางแอปเปิ้ลเองก็เหมือนจะทราบปัญหานี้ และระบุไว้บนเว็บไซต์แนะนำให้ผู้ใช้ปิดความสามารถบางอย่าง เช่น 3G เพื่อยืดอายุการใช้งานของแบตเตอรี่

นักวิเคราะห์มองว่า iPhone ยิ่งออกรุ่นใหม่ยิ่งเปลืองแบต เหตุผลเป็นเพราะยิ่งอัดฟีเจอร์เข้ามามาก ก็ยิ่งต้องใช้พลังงาน รวมถึงทำให้เครื่องร้อนและในตอนนี้ดูจะยังไม่มีวิธีแก้ที่น่าจะใช้งานได้เลย

เว็บไซต์ iFixit ได้ถอดส่วนประกอบของ iPhone 3GS ออกมา และพบว่าแบตเตอรี่นั้นขนาดเล็กกว่า iPhone รุ่นแรกอยู่ 15% ส่วนนิตยสาร Consumer Reports บอกว่าถ้าใช้โทรเพียงอย่างเดียว iPhone 3GS จะใช้ได้สั้นกว่า iPhone รุ่นแรก 1 ชั่วโมง มือถือรุ่นใหม่อย่าง Palm Pre นั้นประสบปัญหาคล้ายๆ กันแต่โชคดีที่แบตถอดเปลี่ยนได้

iPhone 3GS may be popular (it's sold for 1 million ea. now) but the owner complain that the battery can't stay for long . They must charge the battery to survive in 1 day . Apple also knew this problem and said on the guide website that the user have to close some features to make the battery stay for some time .

The Analysts think that more new version iPhone is more power that battery must used . They think the clause is so much features have to use more energy and make the phone very hot .

iFixit website remove the body of iPhone 3GS and they saw that the battery is smaller than the first iPhone for 15% . Comsumer Reports magazine said that if user use iPhone just for call (JUST FOR CALL) It's can stay less than first iPhone 1 hour !! The new phone like Palm Pre face this similar problem but lucky that it's can change the battery .
